9 May – 22 November 2026
Biennale Arte 2026
The 61st International Art Exhibition, titled "In Minor Keys", is held at the Giardini, the Arsenale, and various venues around the city. The title evokes the minor keys of music and suggests a focus on less central artistic voices, often overlooked by the major cultural circuits. Hotel Indigo Venice - Sant'Elena enjoys a privileged position, allowing you to reach the main venues with a pleasant walk. Alternatively, vaporetto lines 1 or 2 to the Giardini or Arsenale stops will take you there in just a few minutes. Photo credits: labiennale.org

Vogalonga
A non-competitive rowing boat regatta that covers 30 km through the lagoon and the Grand Canal, passing by Murano, Burano, and other small islands. Open to any type of rowing boat, the event represents an act of love for Venice, the waters that surround it, the lagoon, and its islands. The start is at 9:00 a.m. from the San Marco Basin, and registrations are managed through the official website. Photo credits: vogalonga.com

Biennale Danza
The 20th International Festival of Contemporary Dance, directed by Wayne McGregor, brings daily performances by soloists and international companies to the Arsenale. McGregor, a world-renowned British choreographer known for his approach that blends movement, neuroscience, and technology, promises a particularly experimental edition, in which the body becomes an instrument of exploration, both physical and conceptual. This is one of Venice’s most beloved celebrations, born to mark the end of the plague of 1575–77. Access to the waterfront is free; for a more immersive experience, you can rent a boat or a spot on a private pontoon. On this occasion, vaporettos to the Giudecca (lines 2, 4.1, and 4.2) will run special late-night services.
